Applied AI Architecture

An architecture-level program for senior engineers and technical leads who need to design, deploy, and govern AI systems at enterprise scale. You will learn to build RAG and agentic architectures, serve models at scale, operate on cloud AI platforms, enforce security and governance, and manage cost with FinOps practices.

Outcomes

What you'll learn

  • Translate business needs into a defensible enterprise AI architecture
  • Design high-performance RAG systems and agentic workflows
  • Serve models at scale with Triton, vLLM, and Ollama
  • Operate on cloud AI platforms and set up fine-tuning infrastructure
  • Implement governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI guardrails
  • Model, optimise, and audit AI workload costs with FinOps practices

Prerequisites

  • Several years of software or data engineering experience
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and distributed systems

What you will build

Learn by building.

Each project produces working software you can run, explain and show to an employer.

  • Enterprise AI architecture document

A complete reference architecture and written rationale for an enterprise AI system covering data, model, and serving layers.

    • Architecture diagrams
    • Pinecone
    • PGVector

You can defend each boundary and technology choice in the design.

  • Cost and governance model

A projection of cost, scaling limits, failure modes, and governance controls for the proposed architecture.

    • FinOps
    • Cost modelling

The design survives questions from finance, security, and compliance.
